And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 48 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Afro Samurai!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and William Peck.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Samurai swings for the body but Cole moves out of range.
Cole keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Samurai.
Cole lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Samurai backs up against the cage.

It looks like Afro Samurai has been cut.
Cole throws a shot to the body.
Nice uppercut lands for Cole. That snapped Samurai's head back.
Samurai misses with a series of wild punches.
Cole went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Samurai throws a low kick but Cole avoids it.

Cole lands a big right hand that sends Samurai crashing to the mat! Cole stays standing though and waves Samurai back to his feet!

Samurai is rocked!
Cole looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A combination from Cole does no damage.
Samurai takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Samurai pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Samurai misses the shot to the body.
Cole keeps Samurai at a distance using the push kick.
Samurai looks winded!
Samurai throws a leg kick but Cole moved away.
Samurai throws the left hand but Cole avoids the punch easily.
Cole connects with the punch.
A jab from Samurai misses.

Samurai stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Cole.
Nice defenses there by Samurai.
Samurai looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Winston Cole seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cole throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A swing and a miss from Cole.
Samurai throws a lazy right hand but Cole sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Cole looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Cole is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Cole misses with a jab, cross combination.

Cole feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Samurai sprawling to the canvas! Samurai rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Cole finish him?!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cole throws a series of punches but Samurai moves out of range.
Cole lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Crunch! Cole slams his shin into Samurai's torso.
Cole wants to land a leg kick but Samurai is out of range.
Cole thuds a left hand into Samurai's body.

Cole lands a big uppercut and Samurai crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Samurai looks OK. Cole waves Samurai back to his feet!
Samurai gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Samurai is still on wobbly legs! Can Cole finish him?
Cole turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Samurai seems to have recovered his senses.

Cole slips under a jab from Samurai.
Cole appears to be looking for a big counter.
Cole throws a lazy head kick
enabling Samurai to counter with a crisp jab.

Cole sends Samurai crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Cole is motioning to the referee to let Samurai up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Samurai lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Cole circles away quickly and effectively.
Sloppy strikes from Cole. Those never looked like landing.
Cole thuds a left hand into Samurai's body.

Cole is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Nice body kick there by Samurai.
Samurai smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Cole throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Samurai stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Cole cracks Samurai with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Cole has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Samurai to stand back up!
Cole is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
The fighters circling - Samurai throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Cole attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Samurai tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Cole turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Samurai connects with a looping right hand.
Cole moves forwards but Samurai connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Cole throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Samurai throws a jab but it's blocked by Cole.
Cole waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Samurai.
Samurai stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Cole.
Cole scores with a head kick. Samurai tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Samurai's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Cole waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Samurai.
Samurai steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Samurai defending well as Cole loads up on a big left hand.

Samurai drops Cole with a beautiful combination! Cole stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Samurai is looking for the KO!

Cole is rocked!

It looks like Winston Cole has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Samurai throws an overhand right that has Cole reeling! Samurai follows up with more punches and Cole is out cold! This one is all over!
