Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Duane Perry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akihiko Yamato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Akihiko Yamato is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Reed Andrews and Russell Pearce.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perry throws a head kick that misses.
Yamato looks to throw a body kick
and Perry cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That kick from Yamato tenderised Perry's leg. Perry is trying to keep his angry face on.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Perry shoots in looking for a takedown. Yamato tries to sprawl out of it but Perry keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Yamato manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Perry tries to close the distance and clinch up but Yamato swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Perry on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Perry lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Yamato circles away quickly and effectively.
