Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Macho Alpha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paradox Percius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Macho Alpha!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Paradox Percius!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Chad Campbell and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Percius decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Alpha is looking to escape.

Percius is trying to work for a kimura but Alpha is defending well.
Percius is looking to advance position but Alpha won't allow it.

Percius is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Alpha doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Percius.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Percius seems to be looking for submissions.
Alpha might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Percius tries to pass the half guard into mount. Alpha knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Percius is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Alpha is just riding it out for now. Percius eventually gives up the hold.
Percius wants to pass to mount but Alpha is defending the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Percius seems to be working for a kimura but Alpha defends the submission attempt.
Alpha tries to roll over but Percius keeps him under control.

Percius is working for a kimura but Alpha is defending it quite comfortably.
Alpha won't allow Percius to pass to mount.

Alpha is in trouble now - Percius has advanced to mount!
Percius tries to take his opponent's back but Alpha turns with him and manages to move into guard on the top. Nice work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Percius looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Alpha throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Percius works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Alpha could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Alpha stopping the sweep attempt from Percius.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Percius is on top in guard.

Alpha definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Percius passes Alpha's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Percius stops Alpha from getting back to his feet.
Percius wants to pass to mount but Alpha is defending the position.

Percius seems to be working for a kimura but Alpha defends the submission attempt.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Percius seems to be looking for submissions.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Paradox Percius dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Alpha fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Percius avoids it really well and circles away.

Percius bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Alpha prevents Percius from improving position.
Percius keeps trying to improve his position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Percius goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Alpha rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Percius's guard! Nice work there by Alpha!
Percius manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Alpha manages to get himself to full guard.

Percius has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Percius stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Alpha swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Percius won't allow Alpha to get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Percius drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Alpha dives on top into guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Percius can do anything to dispel that myth.
Percius bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Alpha's guard.

Percius tries to free his leg and advance position but Alpha is retaining full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Percius passes into half guard.

Percius is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Percius is looking to pass Alpha's guard but actually Alpha recovers to full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Alpha wants to get back to his feet but Percius is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Percius advances to half guard.
Percius looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Percius is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Percius is looking to advance position but Alpha won't allow it.
Alpha wants to improve his position but Percius is controlling well.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Percius frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Paradox Percius showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!


Nice takedown defense from Percius. No joy for Alpha on that attempt.

Percius feints and as Alpha raises his hands in defense, Percius changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Percius slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Percius has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Alpha!

Percius goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Alpha is on top in guard.
Percius is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Percius passes to full mount!

Alpha somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet!
Macho Alpha seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Alpha shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Percius but Percius pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Macho Alpha. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Alpha tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
A slapping leg kick lands for Percius.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Percius stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Percius wants it to stay on the feet.
Alpha shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Percius sprawls well. Percius wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Alpha gets slowly back to his feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Percius scores with a kick to the midsection.
Percius with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

A solid body kick from Percius.
Percius cracks the inside of Alpha's front leg.
Percius moves into range and connects with a jab.

Percius scores with a takedown into Alpha's guard.
Percius is fighting to break Alpha's control of his arms but Alpha is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Macho Alpha has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Alpha is in trouble now - Percius has advanced to mount!
Percius takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.

And that's the end of the fight!
Paradox Percius comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Percius has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A less than humble Paradox Percius misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
