The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Iron drops his hands momentarily and Carwin takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Iron throws a lazy right hand but Carwin sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Iron throws a shot to the body.
Iron fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Iron lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Iron misses with a body kick.
Carwin throwing a counter right hand but Iron manages to avoid it.
Iron misses with a body shot.
Iron decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Carwin wants to get back to his feet.
Iron wants to pass the guard but Carwin is defending well.
Iron looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Iron wants to free his trapped foot but Carwin is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Carwin on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Carwin tries to get out of the position.
Iron throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Iron is working for a kimura but Carwin is defending it quite comfortably.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Iron cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Carwin is rocked!
Iron postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Carwin out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Iron goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Angle Iron!
