Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Millard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christopher Binse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bruce Millard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Christopher Binse!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Binse takes a swing at Millard's ribcage but misses.
Millard throws the kick towards the body but Binse avoids it.
Binse checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Bruce Millard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Millard takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Binse takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Binse lands a nice leg kick that just misses Millard's sensitive parts.
Millard fails to land the takedown.
Millard misses with an uppercut.
Millard throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Binse cracks Millard with a good jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Millard lands with a kick to the ribs.
Binse fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Millard.
Binse stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Millard.
Binse keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Binse throws a body shot but no joy.

Binse digs a good body shot into Millard's ribs.
Millard takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
A low kick from Millard is predictable there

and Binse counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Millard looking to hit a scissor sweep but Binse is one step ahead there.
Millard has control of Binse's left arm, preventing Binse from doing any damage.
Millard is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Millard utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Binse trying to control but Millard is working from the bottom.
Millard not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Millard is controlling Binse's posture.
Binse wants to control from the top but Millard keeps moving.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Millard drops his hands momentarily and Binse takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
A punch lands to the side of Millard 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Millard closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Binse quickly recovers to half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Millard seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Binse is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Millard looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Binse moves into full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Binse is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Millard loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Binse keeping full guard, as Millard tries to pass.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Millard sitting in guard here, content to control.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Binse is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Millard lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Binse avoids the body shot from Millard.
Some bone on bone action there as Binse checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Binse avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Christopher Binse will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Millard takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Binse scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Millard is looking to chop away at Binse's legs.
Binse replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Millard blocks it well.
Christopher Binse seems to be getting the better of the standup.

A clash of legs there as Millard blocks the low kick.
Binse throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Millard sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Binse attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Millard fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Binse manages to avoid it.
Binse steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Millard.

Binse has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Millard finds it's way round the side to connect with Binse's head.
Millard throws a right hand that misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Millard misses with a wild body shot.
Binse misses with a body shot
and Millard makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Millard dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Binse. That did some damage!
Binse connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Millard misses with a hook. Binse ducked under it nicely.
Millard keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
A good leg kick by Millard.
Binse moves out of range of the strikes.
Binse throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Millard takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

Binse throws a jab but it's blocked by Millard.
It looked like Millard was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Binse.
Millard lands a leg kick that knocks Binse off balance momentarily.

Millard scoring well with a low kick there.
Millard blocks the body kick.
Millard fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Binse looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Millard plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Millard fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Binse.
Binse scores with a jab to the body.
Binse lands with a nice body kick.
Binse with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Millard to score with a decent uppercut.
Millard misses the body punch
and Binse counters with a nice uppercut.
Binse bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Binse moves out of range as Millard throws a body kick.
Binse takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
The crowd cheers as Binse lands an impressive looking overhand right. Millard doesn't seem phased though.
Millard takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Binse swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Millard misses with a looping left.
Millard tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Binse defends well and Millard ends up having to push Binse into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Millard throws a low kick but Binse moves out of range easily.
Binse tries to clinch there but Millard circles away.
Millard throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Binse stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Binse misses with an attempted mid kick.
Binse misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Millard counters with a leg kick.
Nice straight punches there by Binse. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Binse.
Millard is looking to score with low kicks.
Binse is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Millard misses with an uppercut

and Binse counters by moving into the clinch.
Millard blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Binse misses with a punch on the inside.
Binse has a couple of punches blocked by Millard.
Millard lands a body shot.
Millard lands a left hand that snaps the head of Binse backwards.
Millard lands an uppercut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Millard is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
A head punch on the inside from Binse fails to land.

Binse's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Millard tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Binse tries to work over Millard's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Binse lands a takedown into guard.
Christopher Binse has got the better of the ground game so far.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Millard is really struggling to control Binse but he's trying to hold on to the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Christopher Binse will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's time! Millard's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Millard displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Binse throws out the jab.

Millard throws a big counter combination but Binse scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Binse lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Millard throws a chopping leg kick but Binse manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Millard sets himself, and Binse steps forward looking for the clinch! Millard avoids it this time.

Binse cracks Millard with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Binse darts in looking for a takedown but Millard gets double underhooks and turns Binse into the cage.
Millard was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Millard lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!


Binse is rocked!
Millard fakes the body blow, causing Binse to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Binse goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!

Post fight, Bruce Millard stared into the camera and said ' Bruce Millard stubbed his toe getting out of the shower. After talking about his experience to an MMA radio show, the popular opinion is that he's a bit dim but in a loveable way.'.
