PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ahmed Sayed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tien Shinhan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shinhan is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Skillet - Forsaken. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tien Shinhan!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yuuki Gou and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sayed swinging wildly here.
Shinhan appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Sayed throws a head kick that misses.

Shinhan moves into the clinch.
Shinhan holding his opponent close, against the cage.

The crowd are getting on Shinhan's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shinhan is pressed up against the cage. Sayed has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Shinhan down to the mat. Shinhan avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Sayed with a poor takedown
and Shinhan counters with a low kick, right behind Sayed 's knee.
Sayed misses with a leg kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sayed uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Shinhan.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sayed is defended easily by Shinhan.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ahmed Sayed. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Shinhan tests Sayed's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Shinhan has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.
Some bone on bone action there as Shinhan checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Sayed scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Shinhan doesn't seem bothered though.

Shinhan scores with a leg kick.
Sayed throws a half hearted mid kick.
Sayed will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Shinhan tries to counter by closing the distance.
Sayed takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Good leg kick by Shinhan there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Shinhan circles away from the clinch attempt.
Shinhan was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Shinhan lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Sayed crumples to the floor! Shinhan milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Tien Shinhan!
A less than humble Tien Shinhan misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
