PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tyson Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Crusher Breaker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tyson Jackson !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Crusher Breaker!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Dirk Anderson and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jackson darts in and clinches Breaker up against the cage.
Breaker is trying to pull guard but Jackson has him pressed against the cage.
Jackson dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.

Breaker breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
No luck for Breaker with that takedown attempt.

Jackson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Jackson with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Jackson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Breaker tries for a takedown but Jackson manages to get underhooks.
Tyson Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Crusher Breaker.

Breaker manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jackson pushes down on Breaker's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Jackson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Breaker is trying to maintain the position but Jackson is very close to passing his half guard.
Jackson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Breaker on the ground.

Breaker is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Breaker is defending against the submission attempts here by Jackson .

Breaker is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Jackson pulls his head out easily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Breaker pushes Jackson off looking to stand but Jackson dives back in and keeps control.
Breaker blocking the ground and pound attempt from Jackson .

Breaker tries to hold on but Jackson pushes him away.
Breaker keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Breaker is squirming around, avoiding Jackson 's attempts to control the action.
Breaker manages to regain half guard. Good work.

Breaker tries to get to full guard but Jackson has control of the leg.
Jackson perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jackson trying to control the action but Breaker is working from the bottom.
Jackson is controlling the pace.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Jackson is working for a submission of some sort.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Breaker looking for submissions off his back.
Breaker wants to get back to full guard.
It looks like Jackson is going to stand back up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Jackson shoots for a takedown but Breaker saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Jackson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Breaker, pushing him back against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tyson Jackson dominated that round.
That's time! Jackson 's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Breaker doesn't manage to clinch there - Jackson circles away.
Breaker lands with a cross.
Breaker fails with a takedown attempt.
Danga de danga de dang - Jackson scores with a four punch combination!


It looks like Crusher Breaker has been cut.
Jackson doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Breaker cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
No luck for Jackson with that takedown attempt.
Breaker looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Jackson darts in looking for a takedown but Breaker gets double underhooks and turns Jackson into the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tyson Jackson . That's going to take a lot out of him.
A nice combination there by Jackson .

Breaker throws a head kick but Jackson moves out of range.
Jackson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Breaker's waist but Breaker gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jackson off to one side.
Breaker moves out of range as Jackson throws a body kick.
Jackson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Jackson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Breaker can do to turn this around?
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Breaker shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Jackson manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Breaker working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Jackson is looking to stand up but Breaker isn't so interested in that idea.

Jackson is striking off his back. Breaker thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.
Jackson tries to get to full guard but Breaker has control of the leg.
Breaker not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Jackson preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.

Breaker is looking to advance position but Jackson won't allow it.
Jackson tries to roll over but Breaker keeps him under control.

Breaker looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Breaker missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Jackson trying to control but Breaker postures up.
Jackson regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Breaker.
Breaker throws an elbow that misses. Jackson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Breaker's guard. Nice move by Jackson !

Breaker throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

Breaker looking for subs off his back but Jackson has passed one foot through into half guard.

Breaker looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Crusher Breaker will probably get the nod - 10:9.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Jackson moves in looking to clinch but Breaker pushes him off.
Jackson shoots for a double leg takedown but Breaker sprawls well. He's pushed Jackson 's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
A nice side step and Breaker releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Jackson throws a sloppy head kick and Breaker moves out of range easily.

Jackson moves into the clinch.
Breaker has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Jackson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Breaker pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Breaker looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Breaker gets tackled into the cage by Jackson . Jackson maintains the clinch.
Jackson is trying to break free.
Jackson has Breaker pushed against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Breaker has Jackson pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Breaker pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Jackson tumbling to the mat - Breaker dives into Jackson 's guard.
Jackson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Breaker manages to get himself to full guard.

Breaker takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Jackson decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Jackson displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Breaker.
Tyson Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Crusher Breaker.
Jackson thuds a left hand into Breaker's body.
Jackson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Jackson fails to land the takedown.
Tyson Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Breaker stuffs the takedown.
Breaker with a poor takedown
and Jackson counters with a one-two to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jackson has Breaker up against the cage in a clinch.
Jackson tries to break the clinch but Breaker is controlling the position.
Jackson keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Breaker's efforts to push away.
Jackson is looking to break free of the clinch but Breaker has double underhooks.

Jackson pulls guard successfully.
Jackson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Jackson wants to hit a switch here but Breaker passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Jackson there!
Jackson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Breaker is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Jackson can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Crusher Breaker has got the better of the ground game so far.
Jackson is trying desperately to improve position.
Jackson wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Breaker.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jackson is looking to get to half guard.
Breaker sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Breaker trying to control but Jackson is having none of it.
Jackson tries to hold on but Breaker pushes him away.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Jackson slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Jackson trying to hold on to Breaker's head to control him but Breaker postures up.

And that's the end of the fight!
Tyson Jackson showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Jackson has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
