The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Daniel Bishop and James Ackerman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Churchhill on the wrong end of a nice hook.
McNulty misses with a low kick.
McNulty swings for the body but Churchhill moves out of range.

Churchhill closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
McNulty is not content to let Churchhill control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McNulty tries to buck Churchhill off but Churchhill is having none of it.
You can see the frustration on McNulty's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
McNulty misses with a two punch combination.

McNulty looks to land a left hand but Churchhill moved out of range nicely.
McNulty misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Churchhill tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but McNulty swivels and escapes.

McNulty throws a body punch but Churchhill moves out of range.
Horrible takedown by Churchhill or perhaps it was just good defense by McNulty which made him look bad.
Carver McNulty has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Winston Churchhill.

McNulty has Churchhill pulled in close to control his posture.
McNulty will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Churchhill is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. McNulty doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Churchhill.
Churchhill has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
McNulty is looking to improve his position.

McNulty manages to escape and get back to his feet!
McNulty lands a nice looking body shot.

McNulty fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Churchhill is out of range.
McNulty fails to land with a series of punches.

McNulty changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Churchhill tries to avoid it but McNulty manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Churchhill to the ground. Churchhill escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McNulty throws a hook but Churchhill blocks it.
McNulty digs a good body shot into Churchhill's ribs.
Carver McNulty seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Churchhill will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Churchhill takes one on the button.
A combination from McNulty does no damage.
McNulty looks for the body kick but Churchhill saw that one coming.

and McNulty counters with a left to the body.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
McNulty throws a right and a left that Churchhill avoids nicely.

McNulty instigates a clinch.
Churchhill is trying to work for a single leg takedown but McNulty pulls him back up using the underhooks.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Carver McNulty dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

McNulty misses with a wild combination.
McNulty will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
McNulty lunges at Churchhill with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Churchhill's hand.
Churchhill tries a head kick but it misses.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Churchhill.

McNulty gets caught flat footed, as Churchhill shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

McNulty has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Churchhill doesn't defend quickly enough and McNulty has managed to lock this one up! Can Churchhill escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to McNulty on a fantastic submission victory.
