The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hult tries to clinch there but Chavez circles away.

Hult shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Chavez manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Hult won't allow Chavez to sweep him here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Chavez is on top in guard.

Hult pulls Chavez in close to prevent any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Chavez won't allow Hult to sweep him here.

Chavez makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Hult is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Hult wants to sweep here but Chavez controlling him for the moment.
Chavez trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Chavez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Chavez postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Hult is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Hult is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Hult tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Chavez is desperately trying to improve his position but Hult has a good base and remains in mount.

Hult is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Hult extends the arm and Chavez is forced to tap!

A very excited looking Nisse Hult rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
