Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Peter Hare (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyro Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Peter Hare!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kyro Kane!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kane throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hare's waist but Hare gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kane off to one side.
Hare lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Hare delivers a nice body kick.
Hare lands a jab to the nose.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Kane has eaten all the pies!
Kane will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Hare fails to land with a series of punches.
Hare misses with a two punch combination.
Hare wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Kane takes a kick to the side of the head.

Hare gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Hare is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Hare controls Kane momentarily but Kane frees himself.
Hare working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kane.

Kane scoring with some ground and pound.
Kane with a flurry of punches that miss.
Kane postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Kane chips away with some ground and pound.
Hare will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Hare working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kane.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
No luck for Kane with that takedown attempt.
Peter Hare has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kyro Kane.
Kane fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Hare lands with a good body shot.
Kane looks winded!
Hare slips a straight right by Kane.
Hare thinks about countering with a head kick.

Hare displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kane.
Kyro Kane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kane fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Hare to the ground. Kane is now in Hare's guard.
Kane with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Kane working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kane is looking to work some ground and pound but Hare has wrist control.
Hare is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kane is controlling him.
Kane landing some decent shots from guard.
Hare preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Kane throwing strikes from guard but Hare blocks nicely.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Kane content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Kane avoids the head kick by Hare.
Kane goes for a double leg but Hare avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Hare continues to drive forward.
Left hook, right uppercut from Hare.
Peter Hare is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Hare lands with a nice body kick.
Nice body kick there by Hare.
Hare lands with a kick to the ribs.
No luck for Kane with that takedown attempt.
Hare appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Kane looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Hare lands with a cross.
Hare scores with a spinning back kick!

This has been an exciting period of action!
Hare throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Hare misses with a double jab.
Hare throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Kane has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Hare.
Kane avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kane takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Kane shoots in for a takedown but Hare shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Kane has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Hare.
Hare stuffs the takedown.
Hare goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Kane avoids the head kick by Hare.
Kane misses with a hook to the body
and Hare counters with a series of strikes. Kane will be more careful next time no doubt.
Hare lands a body shot.
Hare scores with a push kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Peter Hare dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Hare throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kane looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hare is fending him off so far but Kane persists. Nope, Hare circles away and we're back to standing.
Hare throws a quick counter head kick but Kane was just out of range.
Hare misses with a body kick.
Peter Hare is winning the standup battle so far.
Hare rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kane moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kane is defended easily by Hare.
An attempted straight right counter from Hare misses the target.
Hare stuffs the takedown.
Peter Hare has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kyro Kane.

Kane shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Kane was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Hare is looking to reverse the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kane working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Hare regains half guard, as Kane was trying to land strikes.
Kane is breathing heavily.
Kane looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Kane lands a nice short elbow.
Kane has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Kane sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Hare defending well though.
Kane throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Kyro Kane has got the better of the ground game so far.
Kane thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Hare's head.
Hare keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Hare is trying to get back to full guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Kane fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Hare throws a leg kick but Kane sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Kane has his takedown stuffed
and Hare counters with a left and a right that stings Kane.

Hare tries to sprawl but Kane drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Kane misses with a head shot. Hare uses the momentum to regain guard.
Kane loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Hare is trying to control the position but Kane postures up.
Kane with a nice head shot there.
Kane working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Kane content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Kane postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Kane shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hare as he avoids it easily.
Hare thuds his shin into the meat of Kane's side.
Hare throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
A combination from Hare does no damage.
Hare closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Kane closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hare to the mat! Hare manages to get full guard.
Hare working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kane.
Hare wants to stand up but Kane is controlling him.
Kane with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Hare wants to stand and escape but Kane is having none of it.

Kane distracts Hare with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Kane is in close to Hare's body, working some short punches and elbows.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Hare utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Kane fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kane.
Hare throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Kane swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Kane fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Hare lands with a kick to the temple. Kane shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hare misses with a few strikes there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Peter Hare dominated that second round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Kane shoots in but no luck this time.
Hare throws a series of punches but Kane moves out of range.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Hare enables Kane to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hare manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Kane postures up.
Kane distracts Hare with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Kane landing some decent shots from guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hare is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hare is looking to stand up but Kane isn't so interested in that idea.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Kane in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Kane postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Kane throws an elbow that misses. Hare uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kane's guard. Nice move by Hare!

Kane pulls Hare in to control the position.
Hare has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Kane looking for a sweep. Not yet Kane, not yet.
Kane has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Kane fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hare avoids it really well and circles away.
Hare lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Kane backs up against the cage.
Kyro Kane has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Hare lands a jab to the head.
Kane walks forward, straight into a front kick from Hare.

Kane closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hare did well to prevent Kane getting side control.
Kane is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Kane throws a strike but Hare avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Kane working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Hare's head.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Kane's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Kane is in close to Hare's body, working some short punches and elbows.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Kane shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hare sprawls well. Hare wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kane gets slowly back to his feet.
Peter Hare has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kyro Kane.
Hare throws a nice inside leg kick.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kane.
Kane will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Hare stalks Kane and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Kane's face. Kane staggers backwards, shaken.

Hare tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kane looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Peter Hare is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Kane throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hare's waist but Hare gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kane off to one side.
Kane walks forward, straight into a front kick from Hare.
Hare is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Hare ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Hare slaps away a takedown attempt from Kane, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Kane throws a jab when Hare was well out of range.
Hare lands with a good body shot.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A big left from Kane misses.
Hare tried to counter with a leg kick but Kane avoided it.
Kane shoots in looking for a takedown. Hare tries to sprawl out of it but Kane keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hare manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Kane missing with a left hand there. Hare was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Peter Hare is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Kane takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
A nice combination there by Hare.

And that's the end of the fight!
Peter Hare showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hare, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
