Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Police State (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tatton Chantry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think State might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Die for Metal. Police State could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Tatton Chantry's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chantry tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but State defends well and Chantry ends up having to push State into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
State finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
That kick from State tenderised Chantry's leg. Chantry is trying to keep his angry face on.
Chantry takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
State lands a head shot.
State throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
State is looking to clinch but Chantry is avoiding it.
And Chantry tries to counter it with a takedown but State pushes his down on his head and steps out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Chantry shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts State as he jumps to the side.

Chantry has his foot on State's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. State works his way back into a safe position though.

Chantry felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

State is keen to just control but Chantry is a slippery customer.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Chantry manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. State manages to get himself to full guard.

State is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Chantry throws a big right hand that misses.
Chantry with a flurry of punches that miss.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Chantry throws an elbow that misses. State uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Chantry's guard. Nice move by State!

State got a little sloppy there for a moment and Chantry has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, State has managed to get both his arms back between Chantry's legs - danger averted.

Chantry shoots for a double leg takedown but State sprawls well. He's pushed Chantry's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts State, as that shot connected.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
State tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Chantry manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

State lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

State paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Police State seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
State pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Chantry tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but State swivels and escapes.
Chantry tries to score a power double leg takedown but State sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Chantry somewhat.
State throws a leg kick which misses Chantry's front leg but catches the back leg as Chantry tries to avoid it.

Chantry tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
State digs a good hook to Chantry's body.
State is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
State is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Chantry can do to turn this around?
State fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Chantry.

Chantry has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. State is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Chantry.
Chantry isn't going anywhere.
State advances to mount.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
State lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Chantry is rocked!
State is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Chantry goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for State!

Police State bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
