Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Scott Page!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Flash Gordon!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, John Kavanagh and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gordon tries to clinch there but Page circles away.
Page half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Gordon ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Gordon throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Page on the side of the head.
Gordon misses with a jab, cross combination.
Gordon fails in his attempt to clinch.
Page attempts a counter takedown but Gordon avoids it well and moves away.
Gordon takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Page has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Gordon.
A slapping body kick lands there for Gordon.
Gordon is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Gordon swings for the body but Page moves out of range.
Page avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Page appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Page blocks a head kick by Gordon.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Page.
Gordon dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Page. That did some damage!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gordon throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Page's head.
It looks like Scott Page has been cut.
Page tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gordon was well out of range. Poor timing from Page.
Gordon misses with a wild combination.
Page with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Page blocks a head kick by Gordon.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Page looks to score with a jab to the body but Gordon is just out of range.
Page feints and then cracks Gordon's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Gordon down.
Page throws a body punch but Gordon moves out of range.
Gordon throws out a leg kick but Page moves out of range and Gordon only half commits.
Page takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Gordon misses with a body kick.
Page shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Page thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Gordon's head.
Page is looking to take a break and control but Gordon is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Page works his way into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
An elbow from Page crashes against the mat.
Page in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Page has an Americana. Gordon didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Page is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Page hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
