The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brick misses with a few strikes there.
Jai Brick seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cruz gets caught flat footed, as Brick shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Cruz working for a triangle but Brick defends it easily.

Cruz has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Brick can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Cruz knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Brick on the ground.
Brick lands a couple of digs.

Cruz wants to stand up but Brick is controlling him.

Brick distracts Cruz with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Brick with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
My spies in Mano`s Elite BJJ Gym inform me that Brick has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Brick cracks Cruz with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Brick immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Cruz is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Brick!
