Jalovaara has chosen Die for Metal as his entrance music. Jaska Jalovaara is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from Jalovaara misses.
Dzhumagaliev throws a nice inside leg kick.
Jalovaara feints and then cracks Dzhumagaliev's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Dzhumagaliev down.
Jalovaara digs a good body shot into Dzhumagaliev's ribs.
Jalovaara throws a lazy body kick
and Dzhumagaliev counters with a slapping leg kick.
Dzhumagaliev shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

A jab from Jalovaara misses.
Dzhumagaliev was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Jalovaara throws a hook to the side of Dzhumagaliev's head but Dzhumagaliev sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Dzhumagaliev tried to score with a low kick but Jalovaara checks it.

Dzhumagaliev throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jalovaara sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Dzhumagaliev gets caught napping as Jalovaara dives in and scores a takedown. Dzhumagaliev manages to retain guard.
Jalovaara working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Dzhumagaliev's head.
Jalovaara stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dzhumagaliev swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jalovaara accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Dzhumagaliev is looking to stand up but Jalovaara isn't so interested in that idea.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Dzhumagaliev takes one on the chin but seems OK.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jalovaara throws a half hearted mid kick.
Dzhumagaliev was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Jalovaara lands a big head kick that sends Dzhumagaliev tumbling to the mat! Jalovaara takes a step backwards and waves Dzhumagaliev back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Nikolai Dzhumagaliev has been cut.
Jalovaara walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Dzhumagaliev drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Jalovaara swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Dzhumagaliev's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jaska Jalovaara!
In his post fight interview, Jaska Jalovaara started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
