Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel McGowen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stevie Hinch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McGowen kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Control - Kendrick Lamar. Gabriel McGowen has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 16 - 0, fighting out of London, Stevie Hinch!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGowen swats away the attempt to clinch by Hinch.
An attempted straight right counter from McGowen misses the target.

and Hinch counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Hinch has managed to clinch.
With the fighters up against the cage, McGowen throws an elbow but misses.

McGowen works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

McGowen is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hinch is just riding it out for now. McGowen eventually gives up the hold.

We've been hearing good reports from McGowen's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

That was a close round but I would say that Gabriel McGowen will probably get the nod.

McGowen throws a hook to the side of Hinch's head but Hinch sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

McGowen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
McGowen looks to land a combination but Hinch avoids it well.

Hinch changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McGowen tries to avoid it but Hinch manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McGowen to the ground. McGowen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

It looks like Stevie Hinch has been cut.
Hinch goes for a double leg but McGowen avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as McGowen continues to drive forward.
McGowen feinted with a counter takedown.

It looked like McGowen wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

McGowen seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hinch does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Hinch is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

McGowen gets in close and tags Hinch with a short punch that almost sends Hinch to the mat! Oh Hinch is in big trouble! He turns his back on McGowen, trying to create some distance but McGowen rushes him, striking wildly and Hinch goes down! The referee tackles McGowen into the cage to end the fight! McGowen is one violent man!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:17 of round 4, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gabriel McGowen!
After winning the bout, Gabriel McGowen thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
