The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Fortier on the side of the head.
Thompson definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Fortier takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Thompson drops Fortier with a beautiful combination! Fortier stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Thompson is looking for the KO!

Fortier is rocked!

It looks like Granville Fortier has been cut.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Thompson.
Fortier is still on wobbly legs! Can Thompson finish him?
BOOM! Thompson lands a beautiful left hook that drops Fortier. Fortier tries to recover but Thompson is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Fortier lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
