Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wrathion Blackwing (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mata Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blackwing comes to the cage accompanied by Sure shot. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blackwing goes for a double leg but Hughes avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Hughes continues to drive forward.
Hughes drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Blackwing defends it well.

and Hughes counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Blackwing is looking to improve his position.

Blackwing is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Nonprofit Vegas Elite $50 ($1000 value) that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Blackwing is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Blackwing is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hughes pulls his head out easily.
Blackwing tries to roll over but Hughes keeps him under control.
Hughes is pressing down on Blackwing's thigh, looking to free his foot. Blackwing is holding on for now.
Hughes wants to take a breather but Blackwing is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hughes is looking for a kimura but Blackwing is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hughes to get the leverage.

Hughes told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Blackwing is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hughes is aware though and is defending well.

Hughes is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Blackwing doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hughes.

Hughes in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Blackwing tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Hughes!
