Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Jose De Sucre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hessu Suihkija (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think De Sucre might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Iced Earth - Plagues of Babylon. Suihkija comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Limp Bizkit - Break Stuff kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Hessu Suihkija acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Antonio Jose De Sucre!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Hessu Suihkija!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Phil Schofield and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from De Sucre. No joy for Suihkija on that attempt.
Suihkija misses with a low kick as De Sucre jumps back.
Suihkija doesn't succeed with the takedown
and De Sucre makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Suihkija is looking to clinch but De Sucre is avoiding it.
De Sucre is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Suihkija tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. De Sucre manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
De Sucre tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Suihkija manages to circle out of the way.
De Sucre scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.


It looks like Hessu Suihkija has been cut.
Suihkija connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Suihkija.
Antonio Jose De Sucre has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hessu Suihkija.
De Sucre lands a glancing blow to the side of Suihkija's head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Suihkija takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
We've been told by De Sucre's head coaches at Gangsterdamage that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Suihkija doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
De Sucre moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and De Sucre cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Suihkija tries to clinch but De Sucre moves out of range.

De Sucre connects with an inside leg kick.
De Sucre misses with a head kick.
De Sucre throws a sloppy head kick and Suihkija moves out of range easily.

Suihkija shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Suihkija postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Suihkija postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Suihkija preventing the sweep.
Suihkija looking to sit in guard and control but De Sucre gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

De Sucre stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Suihkija swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Suihkija is looking to stand up but De Sucre isn't so interested in that idea.
De Sucre tries to free his leg and advance position but Suihkija is retaining full guard.
De Sucre trying to control but Suihkija is working from the bottom.
De Sucre slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
You can see the frustration on Suihkija's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Suihkija tries to bench press De Sucre off him but De Sucre keeps the position.
Suihkija really doesn't want to stay on the ground with De Sucre. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
De Sucre wants to lay and pray for a moment but Suihkija keeps working.
Suihkija tries to escape but De Sucre is in control.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Suihkija moves into the clinch successfully.
Suihkija is working for takedown but De Sucre is calmly controlling the position for now.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
De Sucre throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
De Sucre lands with a short punch from the clinch.


That has opened up Hessu Suihkija's cut even more.
A short left from De Sucre.
Suihkija has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Suihkija avoids a wild elbow strike from De Sucre.
Suihkija fails to pull guard.
De Sucre is pressed up against the cage. Suihkija has hold of a leg and is looking to drag De Sucre down to the mat. De Sucre avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Suihkija misses with a low kick.

De Sucre moves into range and clinches up with Suihkija.

Suihkija breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
De Sucre throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Suihkija shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Suihkija looks winded!
Suihkija is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Suihkija tries to clinch up
enabling De Sucre to counter with a crisp jab.
Suihkija tries to close the distance and clinch up but De Sucre swats him away and circles back towards the center.
De Sucre is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Suihkija.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Hessu Suihkija's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Suihkija goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Nice uppercut there from De Sucre.

De Sucre lands a big uppercut and Suihkija crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Suihkija looks OK. De Sucre waves Suihkija back to his feet!


Suihkija is rocked!
Suihkija doesn't succeed with the takedown
and De Sucre counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Suihkija is still on wobbly legs! Can De Sucre finish him?
De Sucre cracks Suihkija with a brutal left hook that knocks him out cold! This one is over in a flash! Game over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Antonio Jose De Sucre!
A very excited looking Antonio Jose De Sucre made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
Hessu Suihkija spoke after the fight, saying 'Got the number of that bus?'.
