Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sebastian Scrooge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Doyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Sebastian Scrooge!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jimmy Doyle!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, William Gold and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doyle misses with a low kick.
Scrooge shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Doyle but Doyle pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Doyle stuffs the takedown attempt from Scrooge. Scrooge gets slowly back to his feet.

Doyle bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Doyle tries to close the distance and clinch up but Scrooge swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Doyle throws a head kick that misses.

Doyle closes the distance and pushes Scrooge back into the cage.
Doyle lands an elbow that stopped Scrooge in his tracks for a moment.
Doyle gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Scrooge.

Doyle creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Scrooge's defenses.
Scrooge is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Doyle to keep the fight standing.

It looks like Sebastian Scrooge has been cut.
Scrooge has Doyle pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Doyle manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Scrooge is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Doyle wants to control from the top but Scrooge keeps moving.

Scrooge looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Doyle drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Doyle jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Doyle is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Doyle stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Scrooge swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Doyle keeps trying to improve his position.
Scrooge looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Scrooge is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Doyle is trying to get back to full guard.

Scrooge wants to control but Doyle is keeping him busy.
Scrooge is controlling the pace.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Scrooge connects with a nice short shot to Doyle's temple.
Doyle is looking to improve his position.
Scrooge wants to free his trapped foot but Doyle is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Doyle throws a sloppy head kick and Scrooge moves out of range easily.
Scrooge appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Doyle tries to clinch up.
Scrooge tries to counter with a takedown but Doyle is quick to defend against it.
Doyle is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Scrooge throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Doyle was covering up waiting for the punch and Scrooge finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Doyle looking for subs from the bottom but Scrooge mounts him!
Scrooge with shots to the head and body - Doyle looks very uncomfortable down there.
Scrooge can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Doyle is looking to escape.
Doyle is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Scrooge looking for a guillotine from mount but Doyle is having none of it.

Doyle has given up his back here. Will Scrooge look for the submission or keep pounding away?
You can see the frustration on Doyle's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Doyle looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

Scrooge is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Doyle has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Doyle is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Scrooge gets his way!

Scrooge seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Scrooge shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Doyle napping and manages to drive through into side control!

I think Doyle has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
