Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Li (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Coath (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Coath has chosen Enemy by Blue Stahli as his entrance music. John Li has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coath tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Li manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Li moves out of range of the strikes.
Li lands with an overhand left.
Coath tries to move into range but Li moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Coath gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Li to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Li sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Coath's guard.
Coath wants to control but Li is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Li is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Coath sees it coming and defends easily.

Coath is pressing down on Li's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Coath really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Li. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
