The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Josh West and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Berzins thuds his shin into the meat of Larusso's side.

and Berzins makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Larusso tries to score with a low kick but Berzins moves his leg out of the way.

Larusso fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Berzins looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Larusso feints and then cracks Berzins's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Berzins down.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Larusso, as that shot connected.

Larusso throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Berzins's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Larusso feints and then cracks Berzins's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Berzins down.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Larusso uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Larusso tries to land a front kick but Berzins steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Larusso moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Larusso jabs Berzins right on the nose. Berzins blinks but takes it well.
Larusso lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Larusso connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
