Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kirk Thorpe!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
That kick from Battle tenderised Thorpe's leg. Thorpe is trying to keep his angry face on.
Thorpe slips under a jab from Battle.
Battle feints and then cracks Thorpe's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Thorpe down.
Thorpe blocks a head kick by Battle.
Battle scores with a jab. Thorpe acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
A head kick misses from Battle.
Battle throws a lazy uppercut
and Thorpe connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Battle looks to throw the jab but Thorpe is out of range.
Battle shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Thorpe eats them both and turns towards Battle to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

It looks like Kirk Thorpe has been cut.
Battle swings widly with a right hand
and Thorpe counters with a nice uppercut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Thorpe throws a head kick but Battle moves out of range.
Battle tries to score with a low kick but Thorpe moves his leg out of the way.
A slow jab from Battle misses its intended target.
Battle ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Battle throws a sloppy head kick and Thorpe moves out of range easily.
Battle looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Battle throws out a powerful jab.
Battle scores with a hook.
Thorpe connects with a combination that backs up Battle into the cage. Thorpe lands a flurry of punches that gets past Battle's guard. Battle is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Thorpe bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kirk Thorpe!
An out of breath Kirk Thorpe thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
In defeat, Jared Battle stepped up to the mic, saying 'Whatever, I just want some McNuggets.'.
