PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Spencer Logan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brett Strosswill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brett Strosswill told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Strosswill tries to clinch but Logan moves away
and Logan counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Strosswill throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Logan.

and Logan counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Brett Strosswill seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A head kick misses from Strosswill.
Logan throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Strosswill misses with a series of wild punches.
Strosswill throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Logan makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Logan counters with a leg kick.
Strosswill tries a head kick but it misses.

Logan closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Strosswill's guard.
Strosswill is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Logan dives into side control.

Strosswill misses with a few strikes there.

Logan drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Logan is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Strosswill is trying to escape and Logan transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Strosswill is forced to tap! Nice work there by Logan! Very nice indeed!
