Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoshino connects with a single shot there.
Hoshino throws out a loose jab but Symons uses good head movement to avoid it.
Hoshino uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Symons.

and Symons counters with a single leg into guard. Hoshino didn't expect that.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

My spies in gym closing inform me that Symons has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

That was a close round but I would say that Kantaro Hoshino will probably get the nod.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Symons with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Hoshino to score with a decent uppercut.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
You can see the frustration on Hoshino's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
