Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Bukovsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Barney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bukovsky comes into the arena with Donatan, Petez, Gural, Pih - Budź się blaring out of the sound system. Barney has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Tommy Bukovsky has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shirou Masuda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Bukovsky throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Bukovsky lands with an uppercut that bounces Barney off the cage and back into range.
Barney is looking to clinch.
Barney closes the distance but Bukovsky moves to the side
and Bukovsky counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Barney tries a low kick but Bukovsky avoids it.
Barney's coach down at Ultimate MMA Training Center was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Barney's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Barney gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Bukovsky to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Bukovsky passes Barney's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Bukovsky landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Bukovsky lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Barney quite badly. Barney pulls Bukovsky in close trying to recover. Bukovsky postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Barney on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Barney doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tommy Bukovsky!
In his post fight interview, Tommy Bukovsky started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
