Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dmitry Boitsoff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boitsoff comes to the cage accompanied by My Domination. Steel has chosen Kollegah - Bossaura as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 15 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dmitry Boitsoff!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, David Steel!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Richard Clark and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Boitsoff scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Steel manages to work his way to half guard, despite Boitsoff's best efforts.
Boitsoff stops Steel from getting back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Steel won't allow Boitsoff to pass to mount.
Boitsoff wants to take a breather but Steel is having none of it.
Steel controlling the position well.
Boitsoff wants to lay and pray for a moment but Steel keeps working.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee asks Boitsoff politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Boitsoff prefers to stall for the moment though.

Boitsoff tries to score a power double leg takedown but Steel sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Boitsoff somewhat.
Steel works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Boitsoff looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Steel is fending him off so far but Boitsoff persists. Nope, Steel circles away and we're back to standing.

Steel feints and then cracks Boitsoff's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Boitsoff down.

Boitsoff manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Steel stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Boitsoff swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Steel slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Boitsoff is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Boitsoff is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Steel forces his way into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Boitsoff wants to get back to full guard.

Steel is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Boitsoff sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Steel's guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Steel is looking to improve his position but Boitsoff isn't that keen on the idea.
Dmitry Boitsoff overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Steel sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Boitsoff wants to advance to full mount but Steel doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

Steel clinches up against the cage.
Steel works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
A nice right hand lands inside from Steel.
Boitsoff drops down looking for an ankle pick but Steel pulls his leg out and moves away.
Boitsoff throws a right and a left that both miss.
Boitsoff shoots in looking for a takedown. Steel tries to sprawl out of it but Boitsoff keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Steel manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Steel throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Boitsoff.

and Steel counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Boitsoff closes the distance and clinches up with Steel, looking for a takedown. Boitsoff pushes Steel against the cage but Steel circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

and Steel counters with a stiff right hand.
Boitsoff shoots in but no luck this time.

Our sources have told us that Boitsoff has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight.

David Steel is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Boitsoff needs to keep his hands up - Steel had a free shot at his head there.
Boitsoff on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Steel has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Boitsoff is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Jeez, Dmitry Boitsoff's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Boitsoff needs to keep his hands up - Steel had a free shot at his head there.
Crunch! Steel slams his shin into Boitsoff's torso.

Steel closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Steel gets through Boitsoff's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
A short body shot lands from Steel as the two fighters clinch.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Dmitry Boitsoff's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Our winner, David Steel, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
