The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Blaylock rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lom moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Dirk Blaylock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Blaylock has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Blaylock tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lom sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Blaylock somewhat.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Lom lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Blaylock takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lom throws an overhand right that drops Blaylock like a sack of potatoes! Lom dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
