The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Overeem misses with a hook
and Steigelmann counters with a nice low kick that buckles Overeem's knee momentarily.
Overeem moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

It looks like Gunnar Steigelmann has been cut.
Steigelmann will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Steigelmann works the jab nicely.
Steigelmann tried to score with a low kick but Overeem checks it.
Overeem swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Steigelmann throws a leg kick that misses.
Overeem lunges at Steigelmann with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Steigelmann's hand.
Nice defenses there by Steigelmann.
Overeem takes one to the chin there.

It looks like Titus Overeem has been cut.
Overeem lets loose with a powerful body kick. Steigelmann will feel that in the morning.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Steigelmann ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Overeem moves away.
Steigelmann lands a really nice looking cross but Overeem seems unphased.
Overeem on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Steigelmann swings for the body but Overeem moves out of range.
Overeem throws a looping overhand right but Steigelmann ducks down to avoid it.
Overeem jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Overeem is looking to score with low kicks.
Overeem connects with the punch.
Steigelmann thuds his right hand into Overeem's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Overeem checks a low kick from Steigelmann.
Overeem's corner calls for a 1-2. Overeem obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Steigelmann feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Overeems jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Overeem comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Steigelmann is breathing heavily.
Overeem lands a nice shot that snaps Steigelmann's head back.
Steigelmann get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Steigelmann stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the cage but Overeem runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!
