Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fedor Couture (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zdravko Dren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Couture kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Pride Theme. Dren has chosen GETO BOYS - mind of a lunatic as his entrance music. Zdravko Dren will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Anthony Taglia and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Couture goes for a double leg but Dren avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Dren continues to drive forward.
Couture takes a shot to the head.
A frustrated look appears on Dren's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Dren lands with a short head shot on the inside.

Dren has had enough of the clinch but Couture keeps him there for the moment.
Couture tightens his grip and picks Dren up, before dumping him to the ground. Dren manages to land in guard.

Couture wants to get up but he can't break Dren's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Couture looking to sit in guard and control but Dren gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Couture looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

and Couture counters with a single leg into guard. Dren didn't expect that.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Couture accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Couture missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Couture wanted to stand there but Dren had control of the position.
Couture with a flurry of punches that miss.
Couture cracks Dren with a solid left hand.
Couture makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Couture throws an elbow that misses. Dren uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Couture's guard. Nice move by Dren!
Dren is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Dren passes Couture's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Dren is trying to control the action in half guard but Couture is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Couture wants to control but Dren is keeping busy.
Dren wants to pass the guard but Couture is defending well.
Dren wants to lay and pray for a moment but Couture keeps working.
Couture is positioning himself well to prevent Dren advancing to mount.

Dren throws out a loose jab but Couture uses good head movement to avoid it.

Couture displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Dren throws out the jab.

Couture shoots in looking for a takedown but Dren manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Couture's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Dren gets caught flat footed, as Couture shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Couture lands a couple of digs.
Dren wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Couture is now in half guard.
Dren is looking to control Couture's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Dren avoid being mounted?

Dren is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Couture is trying to maintain the position but Dren is very close to passing his half guard.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Dren pushes Couture away with a front kick.

Couture tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Dren defends well and Couture ends up having to push Dren into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
