Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tristin Shonuck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kunta Kinte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shonuck comes to the cage accompanied by Johnny Cash - God's Gonna Cut You Down. Kinte has chosen Wu Tang Clan- Shame On A Nigga as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kinte throws a nice looking combination but Shonuck bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
We've been informed that Kinte has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Shonuck seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Shonuck tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kinte swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Shonuck takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Kinte blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Kinte lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Kinte throws a low kick, looking for Shonuck's leg but Shonuck calmly moves out of range.

Kinte looks to land a body kick but Shonuck moved away.
Kinte takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

It looks like Kunta Kinte has been cut.
Shonuck tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kinte manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Kinte comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Kinte feints and then cracks Shonuck's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Shonuck down.

Shonuck throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Kinte throws a front kick that sends Shonuck stumbling back into the cage.

Shonuck is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Kinte wants to lay and pray for a moment but Shonuck keeps working.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Shonuck won't allow Kinte to pass to mount.

Shonuck is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Kinte asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Shonuck's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Shonuck looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Kunta Kinte hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
