The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Butcher stuffs the takedown attempt from Ross. Ross gets slowly back to his feet.
Butcher connects with a right hand. Ross shakes it off.
Ross throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Ross takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Butcher fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ross manages to avoid it.
Butcher takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Ross misses with a head kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Butcher on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Ross. Ross obviously looking to wear him down.
Ross misses with a body shot.
Mike Ross seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Butcher throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
A nice leg kick lands there from Ross.

Butcher drops Ross with a beautiful combination! Ross stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Butcher is looking for the KO!

It looks like Mike Ross has been cut.
Butcher connects with a stiff jab that staggers Ross - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
