PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dallas MacMillan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antoine Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). MacMillan's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, The Outlaw. Wallace has chosen Pray by Jay-Z feat. Rob Dougan as his entrance music. The key to victory for Dallas MacMillan has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dallas MacMillan!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 34 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Antoine Wallace!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Ben Hemmingworth and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wallace misses with a straight left.
MacMillan fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Wallace has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Wallace looks to throw a body kick
and MacMillan counters with a body kick that stops Wallace in his tracks momentarily.
Wallace lands a really nice looking cross but MacMillan seems unphased.
Wallace misses with an uppercut.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Wallace - that will leave a mark!
Wallace shoots for a double leg takedown but MacMillan sprawls well. He's pushed Wallace's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
MacMillan cracks Wallace with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Wallace takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Wallace throws a shot to the body.
Wallace misses with a body shot.
MacMillan digs a good hook to Wallace's body.
Wallace loads up on a big right hand but MacMillan slips the punch.
Wallace throws an off balance right hand
enabling MacMillan to counter with a crisp jab.
Antoine Wallace seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
MacMillan throws a solid leg kick but Wallace takes the impact on his shin and smiles at MacMillan.
Wallace just misses with a punch to the body.

Wallace throws the left hand but MacMillan avoids the punch easily.
MacMillan digs a good hook to Wallace's body.
MacMillan turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Wallace looks winded!
Some bone on bone action there as Wallace checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Wallace takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Wallace swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by MacMillan.
MacMillan looks for the body kick but Wallace saw that one coming.
Wallace takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
MacMillan ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Wallace misses with a body kick.
Wallace misses with a looping right.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Wallace.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Wallace sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but MacMillan is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
MacMillan manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
MacMillan is figuring out what he wants to do next.
MacMillan will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Dallas MacMillan.
Nice shot lands for Wallace.
MacMillan's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Wallace connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! MacMillan scrambles back to his feet.
MacMillan takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
We've been told by MacMillan's head coaches at The Caveman Club that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Wallace throws an uppercut from half a mile away. MacMillan sees it coming and avoids it easily.
MacMillan scores with a spinning back kick!
Wallace misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Wallace thuds his right hand into MacMillan's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
MacMillan takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
MacMillan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Wallace paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Wallace dives in and scores a takedown into MacMillan's guard.
MacMillan has control of Wallace's left arm, preventing Wallace from doing any damage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Wallace pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. MacMillan is keeping the position for now.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
MacMillan is pulling down on Wallace's head to control his posture.

We're going to have a standup here because Dallas MacMillan wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Some bone on bone action there as Wallace checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
MacMillan tries to close the distance and clinch but Wallace swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
MacMillan moves out of range of the strikes.
MacMillan feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Wallace's calf.
MacMillan on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Wallace misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from MacMillan.

Wallace shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Wallace was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Wallace wants to lay and pray for a moment but MacMillan keeps working.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
MacMillan is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Wallace off and has taken his back!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A bit of a pause in the action here. MacMillan controlling the positon.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dallas MacMillan dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


MacMillan lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Wallace at a distance.
Wallace throws a right hand that misses
and MacMillan counters with a left and a right that stings Wallace.
Wallace throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Wallace scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Wallace throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Dallas MacMillan is winning the standup battle so far.
MacMillan fails to land with a series of punches.
Wallace throws a right hand that misses
and MacMillan counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Wallace lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
MacMillan lands a jab.
MacMillan tries to clinch up.
MacMillan walks into a left hand.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wallace throws a leg kick that misses.
MacMillan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Wallace was well out of range. Poor timing from MacMillan.
Wallace misses with a lunging right hand
and MacMillan counters with a head kick that wobbles Wallace - left then right he sways and one more bomb from MacMillan sends him down. This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dallas MacMillan!
Dallas MacMillan retains his light heavyweight title!
Dallas MacMillan very nearly forgot to thank Fury Nutrition Inc. amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
The defeated Antoine Wallace had this to say: 'He was the better man tonight...the A-Train will be back and better than ever.'.
