Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mookie Magaba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Davis Davies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Magaba comes to the cage accompanied by Three Days Grace - Animal I Have Become . Davies has chosen Wars Of Islam as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
16 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mookie Magaba!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

16 - 12 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Davis Davies!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Richard Clark and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Magaba stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Davies.
Davies misses with a left hand
and Magaba cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Davies is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Magaba.
Horrible takedown attempt by Magaba or perhaps it was just good defense by Davies, which made it look bad.
Davies closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Magaba did well to prevent Davies getting side control.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Davies is trying to control. Magaba wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Davies wants to pass to mount but Magaba is defending the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Davies uses his free foot to push down on Magaba's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Magaba.

That was a close round but I would say that Mookie Magaba will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Magaba uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Davies.

Magaba goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Davies rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Magaba's guard! Nice work there by Davies!

Davies utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Magaba stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Davies swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mookie Magaba will probably get the nod.

Magaba works over Davies's head and body with a nice combination.
Davies looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Davies avoids a punch combination nicely.
Davies connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Magaba's hands.
Davies throws a head kick but Magaba moves out of range.
Davies throws a poor cross that misses
and Magaba counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Davies connects with an inside leg kick.

Davies shoots in for a takedown but Magaba shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Magaba walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Davies cracks Magaba with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Magaba misses with a jab, cross combination.
Magaba looks up at the clock. Bad move! Davies lands a right hand from hell, dropping Magaba. Davies pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Davis Davies!
Davis Davies decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
