The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dominguez tries to clinch but Hurst is having none of it.
Hurst moves away from the strike by Dominguez.

Hurst breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Dominguez circles away from the clinch attempt.
Hurst shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Dominguez sprawls well. Dominguez wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hurst gets slowly back to his feet.

Hurst is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Hurst throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dominguez's waist but Dominguez gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hurst off to one side.

Dominguez closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hurst to the mat! Hurst manages to get full guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Dominguez's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Hurst looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Dominguez works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Dominguez takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Dominguez sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Hurst's guard.
