Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tensai Riggs!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Eddie Farnsworth and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tupu shoots in but Riggs avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Riggs drives through and clinches with Tupu against the cage.

Riggs lands a takedown into guard.
Riggs wants to pass the guard but Tupu is keeping the position.

Riggs got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tupu has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Riggs has managed to get both his arms back between Tupu's legs - danger averted.

Tupu had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Riggs defends it easily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Riggs distracts Tupu with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Tupu working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Riggs doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Riggs manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Tupu is looking for a triangle but Riggs pushes his legs off easily.
Tupu is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Riggs avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Riggs is taking a breather. Tupu says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Tupu regains full guard. Nicely done.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Riggs is sitting in close to Tupu's body. Tupu has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Riggs is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Riggs is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Tupu.
