A fine choice. Burishkov has chosen Not a step back as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burishkov shoots for a takedown but Fatu saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Fatu throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Burishkov's waist but Burishkov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fatu off to one side.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Fatu feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Our spies down at at Sanitarium inform us that Burishkov has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Fatu feints and as Burishkov raises his hands in defense, Fatu changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Burishkov bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Fatu's guard.
Burishkov would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Fatu had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Burishkov defends it easily.
Solofa Fatu overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Burishkov wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Fatu's closed guard. He's half up but Fatu has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Fatu pivots and extends the arm, Burishkov falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Fatu! Well done that man!
