Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Franz Sanches (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ernesti Koppinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Koppinen is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Dorky-Fast and Energized. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ernesti Koppinen!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Matti Vanhoillinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanches tries to clinch up.
Koppinen throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Koppinen tries to score with a low kick but Sanches moves his leg out of the way.

Sanches definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Sanches seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Koppinen does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Sanches cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Sanches jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Koppinen manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Koppinen is not content to let Sanches control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Sanches closes the distance and clinches up with Koppinen, looking for a takedown. Sanches pushes Koppinen against the cage but Koppinen circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Franz Sanches seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sanches moves into the clinch successfully.
Sanches tries to pull guard but Koppinen holds him up against the cage and eventually Sanches drops back down to his feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sanches got a little sloppy there for a moment and Koppinen has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sanches has managed to get both his arms back between Koppinen's legs - danger averted.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sanches throws some wild stikes that Koppinen manages to avoid easily.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Franz Sanches.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sanches, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
