Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Greg Holt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lagar Prechnyan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lagar Prechnyan looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Greg Holt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lagar Prechnyan!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Aafke Stam and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Prechnyan misses with a wild combination.
Holt walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Holt enables Prechnyan to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Holt manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Holt avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Prechnyan must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Prechnyan gets to his feet - Holt follows without any prompting.
Holt takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Prechnyan looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Holt!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Prechnyan looks winded!
Holt is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Holt can't do much from the bottom here.

Prechnyan tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Prechnyan tries to get to his feet but Holt is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Prechnyan in his guard.
Holt wants to stand but Prechnyan is controlling the position.
Holt has a closed guard, preventing Prechnyan from standing up.
Prechnyan is looking to work some ground and pound but Holt has wrist control.
Holt might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Holt pushes Prechnyan off and scrambles back to his feet.

Prechnyan shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Prechnyan showed some decent athleticism there.

Prechnyan thows a huge punch but Holt dodges it nicely.
Holt is not content to let Prechnyan control the position.
Prechnyan wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Holt uses the opportunity to regain full guard.

Holt manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Prechnyan shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Holt regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Prechnyan.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Prechnyan prevents Holt from getting back to his feet.
Holt could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Holt pulls Prechnyan in to control the position.

Holt escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Prechnyan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Prechnyan wants to stand and escape but instead Holt has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lagar Prechnyan dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Prechnyan clinches up with Holt and pushes him back against the cage.

Holt manages to break the clinch.

Prechnyan shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Holt's guard.
Lagar Prechnyan has got the better of the ground game so far.
Holt is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Prechnyan is controlling him.

Holt wriggles free and stands up.
Prechnyan lands a nice looking body shot.
Prechnyan is breathing heavily.
Prechnyan misses with a combination
and Holt counters with a straight right hand.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Prechnyan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Holt keeping moving, preventing Prechnyan from controlling successfully.
Prechnyan looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Holt looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Prechnyan has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Holt is proving hard to escape from.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Prechnyan is stalling in the full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Greg Holt just wasn't active enough.
Prechnyan misses with a body kick.

Prechnyan has managed to clinch.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Prechnyan.
Prechnyan is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Prechnyan. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Prechnyan takes an elbow to the forehead.
Prechnyan looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Holt breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Prechnyan misses with a few strikes there.

Prechnyan is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Holt's half guard.
Holt throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Prechnyan stalling away here and it's allowed Holt to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Holt wants to control the position but Prechnyan says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Prechnyan content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Holt is looking to control Prechnyan's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Holt avoid being mounted?

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Holt tries to kick Prechnyan off but Prechnyan keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Holt makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Prechnyan misses with a low kick.
Holt drops his hands momentarily and Prechnyan takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Prechnyan motions for Holt to come forward. Prechnyan throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Holt will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Lagar Prechnyan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Holt shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Prechnyan but Prechnyan pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Holt dives in for a single leg takedown but Prechnyan sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lagar Prechnyan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!



Holt tries to keep at a distance but Prechnyan has taken the fight into the clinch.

Holt managing to control the position.
Prechnyan throws a strike but Holt rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Prechnyan can do anything to dispel that myth.
Holt not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Prechnyan takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Prechnyan keeping moving, preventing Holt from controlling successfully.

Holt looking to sit in guard and control but Prechnyan gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Prechnyan is fighting to break Holt's control of his arms but Holt is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Greg Holt.

Holt gets tackled into the cage by Prechnyan. Prechnyan maintains the clinch.

Holt pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A head kick by Prechnyan misses
and Holt counters with a series of strikes. Prechnyan will be more careful next time no doubt.

Holt shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Prechnyan napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Prechnyan tries to escape but Holt is in control.
Prechnyan tries to bench press Holt off him but Holt keeps the position.
Holt is staying tight to Prechnyan's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Holt seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Prechnyan for as long as he can get away with.

Prechnyan wants to control but Holt postures up.
A lull in the action here.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Prechnyan tries to buck Holt off but Holt is having none of it.
Prechnyan bucks up and tries to throw Holt off but instead Holt has got his back!
A bit of a pause in the action here. Holt controlling the positon.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Holt struggling to land strikes to the head as Prechnyan covers up.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Prechnyan is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Greg Holt has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
