The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dime misses with the combination.
Cooper lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

It looks like Jonny Dime has been cut.

Cooper takes the fight into the clinch.
Cooper told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight.
Dime lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Dime blocks an elbow strike from Cooper.

Cooper's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Cooper plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Dime pushes Cooper up against the cage in a clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A frustrated look appears on Cooper's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Cooper lands a good knee to the midsection. Dime won't want to take too many of those.
Cooper lands a nice uppercut.
Cooper just leaning against Dime, taking a breather.
The crowd are getting on Cooper's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch.

Dime jumps guard.
Cooper wants to get up but he can't break Dime's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Cooper stands and steps away. Dime gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Cooper moves into range and clinches up with Dime.

Dime turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Dime tries to advance to mount but Cooper denies him.
Dime fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Dime goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Cooper rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Dime's guard! Nice work there by Cooper!
Cooper wants to stand but Dime has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Cooper decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Dime scores with a takedown into Cooper's guard.

Dime stands up over Cooper, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Dime lands a couple of digs.
Dime missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Dime lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Cooper really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dime. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Cooper has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Dime has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Dime gets control of Cooper's arms and successfully pulls guard. Dime will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Dime has a closed guard, preventing Cooper from standing up.

Cooper wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Dime's closed guard. He's half up but Dime has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Dime pivots and extends the arm, Cooper falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Dime! Well done that man!
