Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rock Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Te Huna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Te Huna has chosen Chevelle-Jars as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rock Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, James Te Huna!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Lee lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Te Huna circles away quickly and effectively.
Te Huna misses with a left hand
and Lee counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Sloppy strikes from Lee. Those never looked like landing.
Lee misses with a head kick.
Te Huna lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
A nice combination there by Lee.


It looks like James Te Huna has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lee will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Lee fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Lee looks to land a right hand but Te Huna moved out of range.

Lee looks to land a body kick but Te Huna moved away.

Lee throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

and Te Huna counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Lee throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Te Huna connects with a good right hand that stumbles Lee. Lee circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Lee misses with a double jab
and Te Huna counters with a straight right hand.
Lee throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

and Lee takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

A decent looking body kick lands there for Lee.
Te Huna connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Lee's hands.
Te Huna bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Lee's head.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Te Huna scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Lee doesn't seem bothered though.

Te Huna has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
Lee takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Lee shoots in but Te Huna avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Lee moves forwards but Te Huna connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Lee takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Oh Lee is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lee looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
Lee throws a lazy uppercut
and Te Huna counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Lee takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Te Huna drops Lee with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Lee looks back up at him and smiles so Te Huna waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Te Huna might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
A decent looking cross lands there for Te Huna.
Te Huna is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Lee hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
