Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Louis Sobiesky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Sioldster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Louis Sobiesky!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mike Sioldster!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Tarja Halkonen and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sioldster slips a jab and a cross from Sobiesky.

Sobiesky looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Sioldster has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sobiesky is working away from the top position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sobiesky looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sobiesky wants to pass the guard but Sioldster is defending well.

Sobiesky is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Sioldster keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
Sioldster is staying active underneath Sobiesky, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Sioldster is trying to stand back up but Sobiesky is controlling him
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sioldster can do anything to dispel that myth.
Sobiesky works his way into side control.
Sioldster is looking to reverse the position.
I wouldn't like to be where Sioldster is right now.
Sobiesky trying to control the action but Sioldster is working from the bottom.
Sioldster tries to improve position but can't.
Sioldster pushes Sobiesky away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Sobiesky gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Sioldster is looking to regain half guard here but Sobiesky keeps moving and retains side control.
Sobiesky lands an elbow.
Sioldster wants to control but Sobiesky postures up.
Sobiesky throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Sioldster tries to bench press Sobiesky off him but Sobiesky keeps the position.

Sobiesky tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sioldster is looking to regain half guard here but Sobiesky keeps moving and retains side control.
Sioldster gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sobiesky trying to control but Sioldster is having none of it.
Sioldster is wriggling around trying to escape.
Sobiesky tries to push Sioldster's head away but Sioldster is holding on tight.

Sobiesky is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Sioldster can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
We've been informed that Sioldster has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Sobiesky cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!


It looks like Mike Sioldster has been cut.
Sobiesky with shots to the head and body - Sioldster looks very uncomfortable down there.
We've been hearing that Sobiesky has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sioldster tries to hold on but Sobiesky pushes him away.

Sobiesky has hold of Sioldster's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Sioldster manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sioldster working to try and regain half guard.
Sioldster wants to control but Sobiesky is having none of it.
Sobiesky raining down hammerfists from mount.
Sioldster blocking the ground and pound.
Sobiesky unloads with some shots from mount but Sioldster bucks and avoids them well.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Sobiesky is landing with some decent strikes but Sioldster is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Louis Sobiesky dominated that round.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Sobiesky instigates a clinch.

Sobiesky manages to break the clinch.
Sobiesky fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Sobiesky takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Sobiesky on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Sobiesky scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Louis Sobiesky is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Sioldster moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Sioldster lands a jab.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Sioldster lands a slapping body shot.
Sioldster lands a head shot.
Sobiesky with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Sioldster to score with a decent uppercut.
Sioldster digs a good body shot into Sobiesky's ribs.
Sioldster keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Louis Sobiesky seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Sioldster staying out of range there.
Sobiesky takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Sloppy strikes from Sioldster. Those never looked like landing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sobiesky swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Sioldster slips under a jab.
Sioldster keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Sioldster lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Sobiesky walks into a left hand.


Sobiesky is rocked!

Sioldster lands a big uppercut and Sobiesky crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Sobiesky looks OK. Sioldster waves Sobiesky back to his feet!
Oh Sobiesky is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sobiesky switches off momentarily and Sioldster cracks him with a monster right hand! Sobiesky topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Sioldster dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Sioldster!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Mike Sioldster!
