Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vladimir Venger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Niten Dōraku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Venger comes to the cage accompanied by Live and Let Die. Dōraku is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Ides Of Light - Jucifer. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dōraku dips to his left and cracks Venger with an uppercut!
Venger's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Dōraku connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Venger scrambles back to his feet.
Venger is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Dōraku throws a sloppy head kick and Venger moves out of range easily.
Vladimir Venger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dōraku fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Dōraku lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Venger throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

It looks like Niten Dōraku has been cut.

Dōraku dives in and grabs Venger's left leg, looking for a takedown. Venger pushes down on Dōraku's head and hops out.
Dōraku dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Venger. That did some damage!
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Venger crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Dōraku - the referee stops the clock and Venger gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Dōraku. Venger manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Dōraku gets tackled into the cage by Venger. Venger maintains the clinch.
Venger misses with a hook to the ribs.
Venger tries to work over Dōraku's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Venger lands with a left to the head.
Dōraku keeps control of Venger as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Dōraku.
I was talking to Venger's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Dōraku's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Venger misses with a body punch.
Dōraku is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Venger is defending well for now.
Venger digs a right hand underneath Dōraku's ribcage. Dōraku let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Dōraku lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Dōraku throws out a loose jab but Venger uses good head movement to avoid it.
Dōraku shoots for a double leg takedown but Venger sprawls well. He's pushed Dōraku's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dōraku accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Dōraku lands a right hand that snaps the head of Venger backwards.

Venger breaks from the clinch.
Venger throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Dōraku on the side of the head.
Dōraku lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Venger gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
An inside leg kick lands from Dōraku.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

and Dōraku counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Venger!
You can see the frustration on Venger's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Dōraku works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Niten Dōraku will probably get the nod.

Venger is trying to control but can't.

Dōraku wants to work for an arm triangle but Venger is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Venger is looking for a sweep. Dōraku is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Dōraku is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Venger is just riding it out for now. Dōraku eventually gives up the hold.

Venger has his feet on Dōraku's thighs here. He's pushed Dōraku off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Dōraku screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
