Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ethan Brooks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonion Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brooks's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Delrious Outta My Mind by Deliri0us. Antonion Jones is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Antonion Jones!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brooks looks to throw a body kick
and Jones counters with a left and a right that stings Brooks.
Brooks has a takedown stuffed.
Brooks lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.


It looks like Antonion Jones has been cut.
Brooks with a lazy takedown attempt
and Jones counters with a series of strikes. Brooks will be more careful next time no doubt.

and Jones counters with a three punch combo that has Brooks backing up. Brooks nods at Jones to acknowledge the strikes.

I was talking to Brooks's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Jones is working Brooks over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Brooks has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Jones is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Brooks.

Jones is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Brooks is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Jones tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jones has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Brooks is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Ethan Brooks will probably get the nod.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Brooks shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jones as he avoids it easily.
Ethan Brooks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jones works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Antonion Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Jones has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
