Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Waldo Mcmillan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Louis Sobiesky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Waldo Mcmillan has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Waldo Mcmillan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Louis Sobiesky!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sobiesky closes the distance and clinches.
Mcmillan wants to get back to striking at distance but Sobiesky won't allow it.

Sobiesky has hold of one of Mcmillan's legs. Mcmillan is fighting the takedown attempt but Sobiesky gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Sobiesky trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Sobiesky is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Louis Sobiesky.

Sobiesky stops a takedown attempt from Mcmillan.
Mcmillan is trying to break the clinch but Sobiesky is controlling him.
Sobiesky tries for a takedown. No joy.
Mcmillan is trying to force a seperation but Sobiesky has the dominant position.

Sobiesky wants a takedown.
Sobiesky is trying to maintain a safe position but Mcmillan gets an underhook and turns Sobiesky into the cage.
Sobiesky wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Sobiesky tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Mcmillan just stands there and leans against the cage.
Waldo Mcmillan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Louis Sobiesky.

Mcmillan breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Mcmillan enables Sobiesky to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Mcmillan manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Mcmillan is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Sobiesky is controlling him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mcmillan can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Sobiesky controls the pace.

Sobiesky wants to control but Mcmillan is keeping him busy.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Sobiesky.

Mcmillan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Sobiesky decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Mcmillan, up you get!

Sobiesky is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Mcmillan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sobiesky stands and throws Mcmillan's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Mcmillan prevents Sobiesky from improving position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Sobiesky throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Mcmillan wants to clinch up but Sobiesky keeps it at a distance.

Sobiesky closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Mcmillan did well to prevent Sobiesky getting side control.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Louis Sobiesky wasn't active enough on the ground.
Mcmillan takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

and Mcmillan cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Sobiesky closes the distance and pushes Mcmillan back into the cage.

Mcmillan tightens his grip and picks Sobiesky up, before dumping him to the ground. Sobiesky manages to land in guard.
Sobiesky pulls Mcmillan in close to prevent any damage.
Mcmillan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sobiesky on the ground.

Sobiesky has his foot on Mcmillan's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mcmillan works his way back into a safe position though.

Sobiesky is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Mcmillan presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Louis Sobiesky showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! Mcmillan's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!

and Mcmillan counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Sobiesky gets control of Mcmillan's arms and successfully pulls guard. Sobiesky will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

and Mcmillan counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Sobiesky is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Sobiesky stands up and beckons Mcmillan to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Sobiesky is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Mcmillan's half guard.

Mcmillan has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sobiesky is working away from the top position though.
Sobiesky takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Sobiesky's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Louis Sobiesky was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Sobiesky throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Mcmillan tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Sobiesky is in Mcmillan's guard.

Louis Sobiesky is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Sobiesky clinches up with Mcmillan and pushes him back against the cage.

Louis Sobiesky comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Sobiesky has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
