The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maure throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Butts sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Butts moves out of range of the strikes.
Maure cracks Butts with an open hand slap.

It looks like Philmore Butts has been cut.
Butts looks to score with a jab to the body but Maure is just out of range.
Maure swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Dan Maure seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Butts loads up on a big right hand but Maure slips the punch.
Butts misses with a body shot.
Butts defending well as Maure loads up on a big left hand.

Oooooh!!! Butts has knocked Maure down with a huge combo! Butts steps away and waves a wobbly Maure back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Dan Maure has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Butts fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Maure looks to land a combination but Butts avoids it well.
Nice sprawl there from Butts as Maure shoots in.
Butts ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Maure moves away.
Butts looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Maure throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Butts.
Butts jabs Maure right on the nose. Maure blinks but takes it well.

Butts fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Maure misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Maure takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Butts lands a nice looking body shot.
Butts goes for a small jab and connects. Now Butts goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Maure stumbles back but Butts runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Maure to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Maure will ever be the same after a knockout like that.

A very excited looking Philmore Butts rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
