Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dragon Slayer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 32 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Damon Pierce!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pierce thuds his shin into the meat of Slayer's side.
Pierce misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Slayer ducks under a wild hook from Pierce.
Slayer thows a body kick. Pierce tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Pierce swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Slayer takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Slayer is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.


It looks like Damon Pierce has been cut.
Pierce throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Slayer jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Slayer connects with the punch.
Pierce on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Donk. Slayer catches Pierce right on the button with a cross.
Pierce throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Pierce takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Slayer wants to land a leg kick but Pierce is out of range.
Slayer sizes up Pierce with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Slayer tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Pierce is able to avoid easily.
Pierce fails with an attempt to clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pierce is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Pierce takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Pierce has Slayer up against the cage in a clinch.
Slayer lands an uppercut.
Slayer throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Pierces head.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Slayer.
Pierce jumps guard but Slayer stands there with Pierce around his waist. Pierce gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Slayer lands with a left to the head.
Slayer lands on the inside with an uppercut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Pierce is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Slayer gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Slayer slows down the pace here.
Slayer tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Pierce's elbow.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Slayer.
Pierce looks winded!
A nice right hand lands inside from Slayer.
A right handed body shot lands from Slayer.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Slayer.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Pierce tries to break free but Slayer pushes him back against the cage.
Slayer lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Pierce backwards.
A right handed body shot lands from Slayer.
I was talking to Slayer's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Pierce is trying to stall.
A shot in the inside from Slayer.
Slayer tries a body shot but Pierce blocks it.
Slayer lands a left hand.
Pierce's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!


That has opened up Damon Pierce's cut even more.
Slayer avoiding damage as Pierce throws knees to the body.
Slayer softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.


Pierce is rocked!
Slayer lands a hook to the side of the head.
Pierce is still on wobbly legs! Can Slayer finish him?
Slayer scores with a hook to the body.
Slayer scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Slayer has Pierce pushed against the cage.
Slayer lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Pierce to his knees! Slayer keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dragon Slayer!
