PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rock Machine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marco Polo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Machine comes into the arena with Hell Yeah blaring out of the sound system. Polo has chosen On The Floor as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machine tries for a takedown but Polo sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Machine shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Polo regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Machine.
Polo looking to hit a scissor sweep but Machine is one step ahead there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Machine throws an elbow that misses. Polo uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Machine's guard. Nice move by Polo!

Machine pushes Polo off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Nice sprawl there from Polo as Machine shoots in.
Machine throws a leg kick that is checked

and Polo counters with a takedown into side control.
Machine is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Polo is controlling him well.
Polo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Machine keeps working.

Polo has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Machine is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Polo yanks on the arm and Machine is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Polo.

After winning the bout, Marco Polo thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
