Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Matheus Lucas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Lopez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matheus Lucas is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Matheus Lucas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mike Lopez!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lucas pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Lucas shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Lopez eats them both and turns towards Lucas to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.


It looks like Mike Lopez has been cut.
Lopez slips a straight right by Lucas.
Lopez takes one to the chin there.

Lucas lands a left and a right that sends Lopez crashing to the canvas! Lucas dives into mount looking to finish!


Lopez is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Lopez wants to hold on but Lucas pushes him away.
Lucas takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Lopez can't escape the position.

Lucas looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Lopez is trying to escape the mount.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lopez is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Lucas stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Lucas lands a lovely overhand right.


That has opened up Mike Lopez's cut even more.
Lopez tries to clinch but Lucas moves away

and Lucas counters by moving into the clinch.
Lopez has Lucas pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Lucas manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lucas blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Lucas breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Lucas misses with an uppercut
and Lopez counters with a slapping leg kick.
Lopez avoids the head kick by Lucas.
Some wild striking there from Lopez.
Lopez keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Lucas.
The crowd cheers as Lucas lands an impressive looking overhand right. Lopez doesn't seem phased though.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lopez tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lucas paws at him with a jab and circles away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Lopez looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Lopez staying out of range there.
Lucas stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Lopez.
A jab from Lopez misses.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lucas throws a series of punches but Lopez avoids them all with ease.
Lucas connects with a body shot.
Lopez shoots for a takedown but Lucas saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Lopez has closed the distance and engaged Lucas in a clinch.
Lucas gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Lopez.
Matheus Lucas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Lopez.
Lucas wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Lopez's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Lopez avoids the head kick by Lucas.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Lopez.
Matheus Lucas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lopez staying out of range there.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A telegraphed right hand from Lucas misses the target.
Lopez gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Lucas looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Lopez blocks a head kick by Lucas.
Lopez keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lopez ducks under a wild hook from Lucas.
Lucas throws a hook to the side of Lopez's head but Lopez sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Lopez uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lucas.
Lucas stuffs the takedown attempt from Lopez. Lopez gets slowly back to his feet.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Lucas throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Lopez stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Lopez steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Lucas.
Lopez shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Lucas as he avoids it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Matheus Lucas dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Mike Lopez's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Lopez doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Lucas stalks Lopez and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Lopez's face. Lopez staggers backwards, shaken.
Lucas goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Lucas throws the left hand but Lopez avoids the punch easily.
Lopez gets cracked there but stands up to it.


The cut above Mike Lopez's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Lopez rushes Lucas and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lopez's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Lopez wants to take the fight to the mat but Lucas manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Lopez jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lucas walks away with a smile on his face. Lopez gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Matheus Lucas is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Lucas throws a combination. Lopez tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lucas connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Lopez momentarily.
A slow jab from Lucas misses its intended target.
Lopez tries to clinch up.
A jab from Lucas misses.

Lopez moves into range and clinches up with Lucas.
Lopez manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Lopez jumps guard but Lucas stands there with Lopez around his waist. Lopez gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Matheus Lucas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Lopez.

Lopez breaks the clinch.

Lucas scores with a hook.


Mike Lopez's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Lucas lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Lopez at a distance.
Lopez dives in for a single leg takedown but Lucas sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Lopez jumps guard but Lucas stands there with Lopez around his waist. Lopez gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Lopez tries to pull guard but Lucas won't allow it.
Lucas can't break the clinch.
Lopez effectively controlling the action here.

Lopez escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lopez moves in looking to clinch but Lucas pushes him off.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lopez looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lucas is fending him off so far but Lopez persists. Nope, Lucas circles away and we're back to standing.
Lucas throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Lucas throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Lopez will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Lopez takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Mike Lopez's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Matheus Lucas!
A very excited looking Matheus Lucas made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
