Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Victor Ulriksen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Eerikki Kurki!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Roosa Järviläinen and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kurki misses with a straight left.

Kurki closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Ulriksen did well to prevent Kurki getting side control.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Kurki wants to pass to mount but Ulriksen is defending the position.

My spies in Arne's Combat & Mead Hall inform me that Kurki has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Kurki is nestled in close to Ulriksen, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
