With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Davy Jones Junior!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones Junior buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Jones Junior defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Sullivan.
We've been hearing reports that Sullivan has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Jones Junior tries a head kick but it misses.
Sullivan shoots in for a takedown but Jones Junior shows good takedown defense.

Sullivan doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sullivan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jones Junior's waist but Jones Junior gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sullivan off to one side.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



A momentary lapse in concentration from Jones Junior enables Sullivan to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Jones Junior manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Sullivan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jones Junior swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Sullivan drops back looking for a leg! Jones Junior is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jones Junior manages to kick Sullivan off! Sullivan jumps back into Jones Junior's guard.

Sullivan stands and throws Jones Junior's legs to the side, diving into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sullivan has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Jones Junior!
Jones Junior is trying desperately to improve position.

Sullivan has hold of Jones Junior's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Jones Junior manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Sullivan wants to control the pace but Jones Junior is squirming around nicely.

Sullivan is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Jones Junior can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Sullivan in particular looking to stall.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jeremy Sullivan.
I think Sullivan has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
